Hinkamp Jewelers was founded August 1st, 1955 by Walter Hinkamp and Robert Tyndall, and has been serving the Fayetteville area and beyond ever since. Today, we are still a family-owned and operated store now into our second generation.
The tradition was kept intact with Wally Hinkamp Jr., a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America, the late David Hinkamp, and Donna Hinkamp Warren.

Wally Hinkamp, Owner
Wally took over ownership in 2000 and has over 40 years of experience in the family business. He invites you to come be a part of the Hinkamp Family.
Wally’s wife Susan is a self-employed registered pharmacist with a degree from UNC Chapel Hill. Wally is an alumnus of UNC Wilmington and a graduate of the Gemological Institute of America. Their son Dawson is a student at Campbell University.
Donna Hinkamp Warren, Sales Associate
Donna has been involved with our business since her high school years. She has also been a constant in the Fayetteville community, at one point working for the Chamber of Commerce. She provides excellent care and customer service to our clients.
Donna is married to Michael Warren, a Nationwide Insurance Executive. They have two children, daughter, Lindsay, an honors graduate of UNC Chapel Hill and a school Vice Principal; and son Taylor, a graduate of East Carolina University who is following his father into the insurance industry.
Amanda Andrus, Store Manager
Amanda has been with Hinkamp since December 2009. Amanda brings incredible organizational skills and unparalleled customer service to our family. Amanda was discovered by the late David Hinkamp while employed by Taco Bell and has been a perfect fit for Hinkamp ever since. Amanda is our office manager and is an invaluable asset to the “Hinkamp Family”.
Rhonda Bright, Sales Associate
Rhonda brings over 32 years of experience in the jewelry industry. With extensive product knowledge and customer service skills, Rhonda is an invaluable member of our “family”. Rhonda comes to us again after a 16 year absence during which she was with Carlysle and Reed’s Jewelers.
Rhonda’s husband Bruce is self-employed and they have one daughter, Ashley, and two grandchildren, Weston and Hayes.
Gary See-Wai, Bench Jeweler
Our bench jeweler, Gary, has over 34 years of experience in the jewelry repair industry and has been with Hinkamp since 1996. Gary was born in Trinidad and spent his jewelry training years in New York City. Gary has been featured in the Fayetteville Observer in honor of his talent and skills at the bench.
Gary’s wife Margie, their two daughters, Gingi and Mia, and two grandsons all reside in Fayetteville. In his spare time, Gary loves to fish and cook.
Willie Dorman, Sales Associate
Willie Dorman has over 50 years experience in the jewelry industry and has been with Hinkamp for over 12 years. Will is a true gem, with extensive knowledge and a friendly personality. We are constantly amazed that “everybody knows Willie.”
Willie and his wife Judy have been married for 56 years. They have one son, two daughters, and three grandchildren. He loves to travel and is also an adventure seeker… for his 75th birthday, he went skydiving for the first time!
David Hinkamp
The Hinkamp Family will always remember and hold dear the late David Hinkamp, “the voice” behind it all. David was a graduate of the Holland School for Jewelers and possessed a larger than life personality. He was an outstanding athlete and a champion golfer. David leaves behind a wife and two children.
